Sewer Line Camera Inspection
Before recommending a sewer repair, we typically inspect the line with a sewer camera. The camera allows us to see what is happening inside the pipe and helps identify problems such as root intrusion, heavy scale, cracks, separated joints, bellies, corrosion, broken sections, or a complete collapse.
We use the inspection to determine where the problem is located and which repair method makes the most sense. Whenever possible, we'll show you what we found so you can understand why a particular repair is being recommended.
Signs Your Sewer Line Needs Attention

Sewer Cleaning & Hydrojetting
Not every sewer problem requires replacement. If the pipe is structurally sound but has heavy buildup, grease, scale, or root intrusion, cleaning may restore proper flow. Depending on the condition of the line, we may recommend mechanical rooter equipment, hydrojetting, or both.
After cleaning a main sewer line, a camera inspection can help confirm whether the blockage was the primary problem or whether the pipe itself has cracks, offsets, bellies, or other damage that may continue causing backups.
Spot Sewer Line Repair
When damage is limited to one specific section of pipe, a targeted spot repair may be the most practical solution. We expose the damaged section, remove the failed piping, and replace it with new material before reconnecting it to the existing sewer line.
Spot repairs can make sense when the rest of the sewer is still in serviceable condition and there is no reason to replace the entire line.
Trenchless Sewer Lining (CIPP)
Cured-in-place pipe lining, commonly called CIPP, creates a new pipe inside the existing sewer line. A resin-saturated liner is installed through the existing pipe and cured in place, creating a smooth, continuous interior surface.
Sewer lining can be an excellent option for pipes with cracks, corrosion, root intrusion, or deteriorated interior surfaces where the original pipe still has enough structure and alignment to support the liner. Because most of the existing line remains underground, lining can significantly reduce excavation compared with traditional replacement.
Not every sewer is a candidate for lining. A severely collapsed pipe, major offset, significant belly, or other structural condition may require a different repair method. We evaluate the camera inspection before recommending CIPP.
Trenchless Pipe Bursting
Pipe bursting is another trenchless replacement method. Instead of installing a liner inside the old pipe, specialized equipment pulls a new sewer pipe through the path of the existing line while breaking the old pipe outward.
This allows the failed sewer to be replaced with new piping while avoiding a continuous open trench across the property. Access pits are still required at appropriate locations, but the amount of excavation can be considerably less than a traditional replacement.
Pipe bursting is often considered when the existing sewer is too deteriorated for lining but the existing route can still be used for the replacement.
Traditional Sewer Line Replacement
Some sewer lines are too damaged, poorly aligned, or inaccessible for trenchless methods. In those situations, traditional excavation may be the safest and most effective solution.
Open-cut replacement allows us to expose the sewer, correct grades or damaged sections, install new piping, and make the necessary connections. When permits and inspections are required, the work is completed in accordance with the applicable local requirements.
